Romance/Family is a big part of this game, it is the best way to not only conceive a child to continue your dynasty, but if another dynasty has an open marriage recipient you can increase relations with that dynasty. When you play this game your first priority after building your first workshop is to find a suitable spouse and court him/her. After you have courted him/her you can go to a public house, tavern, or inn for maximum relation increase ask him/her to dance, have a quiet conversation, or take a bath with you. But doing these things WILL cost you money. If you are tight on cash and you are going to die soon for one reason or another, plague, age, outlaw, etc. You can slowly but easily give her compliments, kiss them, and beguile them. but when you are courting a lady from another dynasty who is not a serf you had best be careful not to use a certain command in a row.
Family
Once you have married your partner the first thing you should do is get to your home and spend the night together, and then after a little time a baby will be born a boy or a girl, name it then let it grow up. Make sure you have 1500 gold saved up or else you wont be able to send the child to school or get it an apprenticeship. After the child reaches the age of 16 it will become a playable adult by going to dynasty, then to family tree, then by clicking on his/her portrait, and finally clicking 'add family member'. If your controllable family is full, go to same page, click one of your active family members and click remove from group. But be careful, once a family member is removed you cannot bring him/her back. After the child is 18 the process can start all over again.
Advantages of Marriage
If you manage to find a spouse who is not married, is not the last member of a dynasty, or is not courting someone. You might be able to increase you title for free. if that person has the title nobleman/woman, and you have the title commoner if you can manage to marry him/her than you automatically get their title. It's a really good way to get titles quick when you have only six gold in your treasury. It will also increase your relations with that dynasty. But if you separate that person before marriage the whole dynasty will be sore with you. so be careful of who you chose to marry
